2048 August Update: Trade Cards with Your Team, Bigger Chest Drops

The biggest update yet for 2048 on Playgami is live. Here’s everything that changed.

New: Card Trading in Teams

Your team screen now has a Card Trade board with two slots:

• Give a Card — Pick any card you own twice or more and post it to your team. When a teammate accepts it, you receive a thank-you bonus of 30–200 coins depending on the card’s rarity.
• Request a Card — Missing one card to finish a set? Post a request for that exact card and a teammate can send it to you.

You can run one give and one request at the same time, and each has a 4-hour cooldown — so check back in with your team a couple of times a day.

Reworked: Chest Drops

Chests now drop more cards, and duplicates are allowed (duplicates auto-refund coins):

If you’re hunting for set completions, Silver and Gold chests are now the fastest route.

Clearer Daily Tasks

Completed tasks now highlight their claim button with a glowing outline instead of a “Done” label, and progress bars are thicker. If a reward is waiting, you’ll see it at a glance.

Quality of Life

• New undo icon everywhere — the in-game button now shows just the icon and your count, bigger and cleaner.
• New help icon on the team screen.
• Smoother first-time tutorial (it no longer gets stuck on the profile step).
• Faster loading thanks to asset optimization — same art, same music, smaller download.
• Fixed a bug where a finished run could freeze instead of showing the Game Over screen.
• Fixed an issue where the home screen could stop responding for returning players after the update.
