Inkfall Defense Is Live: An Idle Defense Game Where It Rains Ink

Our new game is out today, free in your browser. Inkfall Defense is an idle defense game: an ink-drawn hero with a revolver stands on a hill, meteors of ink rain down from the sky, and he shoots them on his own. You spend the cash they drop.
It is the sibling of Doodle Tower Defense, built on the same loop — but the enemies don't walk in, they fall. Every meteor bursts against your hero on impact, so the arena is a sky instead of a path, and the hero is a Spine-animated character with a cape rather than a tower. The whole game plays in English or Japanese, decided by the page you open it from.
What you're in for
- 25 upgrades per run across Attack, Defense, and Utility — Damage, Attack Speed, Crit, Multishot, Rapid Fire, Lifesteal, Thorns, Knockback, Cash Bonus, Free Upgrades. New cards unlock as your player level rises; the Utility tab opens at best wave 70.
- A boss every 10 waves and a mini-boss every 5, four bosses in rotation, plus Ambush, Siege, and Convoy raids, swarm waves where the camera pulls back, bomber waves of diving comets, and a Lucky Wheel or treasure chest in every 10-wave window.
- Idle rewards. From player level 8 the hero keeps shooting while you're away: coins, gems, items, and XP bank for up to 24 hours per claim, at rates that follow your best wave.
- Long-term progression. Player levels 1–60 (each one a permanent +2% damage and health), 6 equipment slots with 4 rarities that merge upward, 8 weapons earned on the milestone road (Shotgun at wave 13 through Cannon at 233), 28 talent cards including Death Defy and Interest, 12 awards, daily tasks, Daily Cards every 8 hours.
- Checkpoints and speed. Restart from your last 10-wave floor after wave 30 with all the cash that run earned; unlock x1.5 to x3 speed as your record climbs.
- Runs anywhere. Tap-only controls, portrait or landscape, phone, tablet, or desktop. Saved in your browser.

Why we made it
Doodle Tower Defense taught us that people like a defense game that respects their time. Inkfall keeps that — a run can sit in a background tab, rewards keep accruing when the tab is closed — and changes the picture: everything is drawn in ink, the enemies fall instead of walk, and the hero finally has a face, a cape, and a gun with eight ways to fire.
