Inkfall Defense is a free idle defense game that runs right in your browser โ no download, no sign-up. An ink-drawn hero with a revolver stands on a hill while meteors of ink rain down from the sky; he aims and fires on his own, and your only job is to spend the cash they drop on upgrades. There are 25 upgrades across Attack, Defense, and Utility, a boss every 10 waves, a mini-boss every 5, and raids, swarms, and bomber waves in between. Between runs you level up (1โ60), equip gear in six slots, draw from 28 talent cards, earn 8 weapons on the milestone road, and โ from player level 8 โ collect idle rewards that keep accruing for up to 24 hours while you're away. Tap-only controls, portrait or landscape, phone, tablet, or desktop; the whole game is in English or Japanese, and progress saves in your browser.
Inkfall Defense is a free idle defense game for the browser. An ink-drawn hero with a revolver auto-targets the meteors falling at him; you spend the cash they drop on 25 upgrades across Attack, Defense, and Utility, face a boss every 10 waves, and between runs level up, equip gear, draw talents, and claim idle rewards that accrue for up to 24 hours while you're away. No download or sign-up.
An idle defense game is one where your character fights on its own and your decisions are about upgrades rather than aiming, placing, or building. Progress keeps coming when you're not actively playing: in Inkfall Defense a run keeps going in a background tab, and from player level 8 the game banks idle rewards for you while the page is closed.
It runs directly in the browser with no download, install, or sign-up, and loads no external scripts or assets, so it opens on most computers, tablets, and phones. Whether a particular school or office network allows game sites depends on that network's filtering policy; if the page doesn't open there, search "Playgami Inkfall Defense" on your phone, tablet, or computer at home and it's the same free game.
It's the idle kind. Instead of placing towers along a path you have one hero who shoots on his own, and instead of enemies walking in, meteors of ink fall from the sky and burst against him. If you like Doodle Tower Defense or The Tower-style idle games, the upgrade loop will feel familiar; the falling-meteor arena, the Spine-animated hero, and the weapons are Inkfall's own.
From player level 8 the game accrues coins, gems, XP, and up to 4 items per day while you're away. Rewards bank for up to 24 hours and can be claimed after at least 10 minutes away. The rates scale with your best wave, so a new record raises your passive income.
25 in-run upgrades (10 Attack, 8 Defense, 7 Utility โ the Utility tab opens at best wave 70), 8 weapons (Pistol, Shotgun, Vampire, Assault Rifle, Machine Gun, Sniper, Dagger, Cannon), 28 talent cards in four families rated up to five stars, and 6 equipment slots with Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary gear that merges upward.
A boss arrives every 10 waves, cycling through four: the Boss at wave 10, The Brood at 20 (splits into runners), The Warden at 30 (alternates 4 seconds open and 3 seconds shielded), and The Hive at 40 (shoots from range and hatches runners). From wave 50 the cycle repeats. Waves ending in 5 bring a mini-boss, and every boss drops a gem.
Once a run ends past wave 30, the next run can start from your last 10-wave floor โ wave 30, 40, 50 and so on โ with all the cash that run had earned; the run starts paused so you can spend it first. You can also start from wave 1 instead.
Yes. Speed goes from x1 to x3 and unlocks with your best wave: x1.5 at wave 30, x2 at wave 60, x2.5 at wave 100, and x3 at wave 200.
