How to Play
Carrom Rush is a free online carrom board game you can play right in your browser — no download, no install, no sign-up. Built by Brave Games on Unity WebGL, it brings the classic strike-and-pocket board game of India and South Asia — known as karambol in Indonesia — to any screen. Line up your striker, drag to aim, set your power on the power bar, and flick your carrom men into the four corner pockets. Sink the red queen and cover her to make the claim stick, and keep the striker itself out of the pockets — pocketing it is a foul that costs you a penalty piece. Opponents are computer-controlled bots, so a match is ready in seconds with no waiting around, and touch controls are fully supported — the portrait layout plays beautifully on your phone as well as on desktop.
Browser Controls
- Aim: Press and drag to line up the striker — with your mouse on desktop or a finger on your phone. The clean top-down 2D board makes angles easy to read on any screen size.
- Power: Use the power bar to set how hard you flick — a soft touch for a gentle pot beside a pocket, full power to break up a cluster in the middle of the board.
- Shoot: Release to send the striker. Straight shots and rebounds off the frame both count — bank shots are a big part of good carrom.
Special Rules
- Queen & Cover: The red queen is the most valuable disc on the board. After you pocket her, you must 'cover' the queen by pocketing one of your own carrom men straight after — fail to cover and the queen returns to the center.
- Striker Foul: Pocket the striker itself and it's a foul — one of the men you've already pocketed comes back onto the board as a penalty. Ease off the power when you're shooting near a pocket.
- Extra Turn: Pocket one of your own pieces and you shoot again — good players chain pockets together and clear the board in long runs.
- AI Opponents: Opponents are computer-controlled — the matchmaking screen pairs you with a bot rival, so a game starts in seconds and there is no online multiplayer.
Striker, Carrom Men & Queen
- Striker: The bigger, heavier disc you flick from your side of the board. It does all the work — you never touch the other pieces directly — and sinking it in a pocket is a foul.
- Carrom Men: The small black and white discs on the board. Your goal is to pocket every disc of your own color before your opponent clears theirs.
- The Red Queen: The single red disc that starts at the center — worth the most, and only truly yours once you cover her by pocketing one of your own men straight after.
